In November 2020 there was a huge controversy focused on the opinion of Pope Francis about same sex civil unions. The documentary "Francesco" put together some statements coming from the Pope that magazines and newspapers quickly sold as: "The Pope is in favor of homosexual marriage". Sadly, some bishops, priests and the faithful that don´t like the approach of this Pope to social and moral matters embraced the controversy against Francis accusing him of having ideas and teachings against the Catholic doctrine of the Church.
